It was custom-made of manufacturing with silver the pick used on a guitar or a base.In a ready-made article, if it is not as practical use but as an ornament, being a silver pendant as a pick motif, I think many.However, since this order was actually being able to use it, it cared about the intensity side.Although silver is called 925, it is never a hard metal compared with stainless steel or iron.But if the thickness of a board is too thick since it is a pick, it will be hard coming to use.Since spring nature was also needed, it cleared by three of the last-minute thickness which can be equal to combination of a material, forging processing, and use.Since it was a present to a 20-year-old girl, I wished to actually see the performance using this pick.
ギターやベースで使用するピックを銀で製作するというオーダーメイドでした。既製品などではピックモチーフとしてのシルバーペンダントだったりと実用ではなく装飾としてなら多いと思います。しかし今回のオーダーは実際に使用できるようにという事でしたので強度面に気を使いました。シルバーは925と言えどステンレスや鉄と比べると決して硬い金属ではありません。とはいえピックなので板の厚みが厚すぎると使いづらくなってしまいます。バネ性も必要になりますので素材の配合と鍛金加工、使用に耐えうるギリギリの厚みという3点でクリアーしました。バンドをしている女の子へのプレゼントという事でしたので実際にこのピックを使った演奏を観てみたいと思いました。
