ITALU-YA.OrdermadeHistory No.144:Ring of a racoon dog and a cherry tree
It was the unique custom-making which made the racoon dog of the ornament which is often put at the entrance of the dish shop a motif. A cherry tree has designed the state which scatters in a background of a racoon dog. Originally, a racoon dog, "I change.", as it was being told more than ancient times as one kind of specters with spiritual power. I thought an image of the racoon dog such Japanese peculiar culture bore and the Japanese landscape of feelings by which a cherry tree scatters were the ring design with which I often agree.
良く料理屋さんの入り口に置いてあるような置物のたぬきをモチーフとしたユニークなオーダーメイドでした。狸の背景には桜が散る様子をデザインしてあります。もともと狸は「化ける」として霊力を持つ妖怪の一種として古来より語られてきました。そんな日本の独特の文化が生んだ狸のイメージと、桜が散る日本的な情緒風景が良くマッチしたリングデザインだと思いました。
